Route File Management Dialog

The Route File Management Dialog is usually the first dialog or interface displayed to the user upon opening the eiConsole application. It has several functional categories of components, though its basic purpose is to manage the current directory and its contained routes, to upload finished interfaces / routes to a running eiPlatform, and to manage formats associated with the working directory.


Working Directory Field
The Working Directory Field allows the user to specify the current working directory within the local file system or a locally-mapped file system.

Browse Button
The Browse Button allows the user to specify the current working directory via a dialog.

EIP Server Field
The EIP Server Field allows the user to specify the URL of a running eiPlatform server.

Change Button
The Change Button allows the user to modify the current eiPlatform connection settings via the EIP Link Configuration Dialog.

Route Table
The Route Table lists all routes stored in the current working directory, with each route represented as a row in the table. Columns in the table represent each route’s name, status, and locked status, respectively.

Metadata Display Button
The Metadata Display Button raises a dialog showing all metadata associated with the selected route.

Export Route Button
The Export Route Button allows the user to export / save the selected route to a file, which is selected or created via a dialog.

Update Routes Button
The Update Routes Button updates all routes in the table and in the working directory with the routes stored in the eiPlatform server specified.

Commit Route Button
The Commit Route Button allows the user to commit or upload the selected route to the specified eiPlatform server, effectively putting it into action.

Revert Route Button
The Revert Route Button allows the user to revert the selected route back to its original form.

Lock Route Button
The Lock Route Button will lock the selected route on the specified eiPlatform server.

Release Route Button
The Release Route Button will unlock the selected route on the specified eiPlatform server.

Format Table
The Format Table shows all formats associated with the current working directory. Each format profile is represented as a row, with columns of the table representing a given format’s name, orientation, status, and locked status, respectively.

Lock Format Button
The Lock Format Button allows the user to lock the selected format on the specified eiPlatform server.

Release Format Button
The Release Format Button allows the user to unlock the selected format on the specified eiPlatform server.

Export Format Button
The Export Format Button allows the user to export or save the selected format to the local file system via a dialog.

Import Route/Format Button
The Import Route/Format Button allows the user to load and copy a route or format from the local file system to the current working directory via a dialog.

Edit Route Button
The Edit Route Button will close the Route File Management Dialog and give focus to the eiConsole application main window, with the selected route set for modification and / or viewing.

Add Route Button
The Add Route Button allows the user to create a new route by specifying a name for it via a dialog.

Copy Route Button
The Copy Route Button allows the user to copy the selected route to a new route with a name specified via a dialog.

Delete Route Button
The Delete Route Button allows the user to delete the selected route.

Close Button
The Close Button will close the dialog.

Help Button
The Help Button raises this help system.

Rename Route Button
Rename Route Button allows user to rename selected route.
