Database Connection Configuration Panel

The Database Connection Configuration Panel is common for most of the modules that work with databases. Below is a typical view of this configuration panel.

User name
The DB username credentials.

Password
The DB password credentials.

Type
Specifies the database Connectivity Type

Data source name
Specifies the name of the Data Source. Enabled only if the “Data Source” connection type is selected.

JDBC Driver
Specifies the JDBC driver to use. Enabled only if the “JDBC Connection” connection type is selected.

JDBC URL
Specifies JDBC database URL. Enabled only if the “JDBC Connection” connection type is selected.

Test Connection
This allows the user to test the connection with the specified database.
